Kids Cup

The Norway Cup is an international youth soccer competition that brings together teams from all over the world. Kids Cup follows several teams on their journey documenting their highs and lows and showing that despite their differences, they share similar dreams and face common obstacles. The film showcases young, elite, athletic talent but focuses on the unique position teen athletes are in as they navigate being in a competitive sport while also coming of age. The competition brings more freedom and independence than many may have experienced before. Relationships with family, friends, and teammates are truly tested. The young competitors also battle internally with others’ expectations as well as their own. Finally, there can only be two victors of the Cup, though each team that participates will come away with the reward of lifelong memories and friends.
