Run! Shunzi

Inspired by the personal experience of Zhang Deshun, a member of the Chinese National Women's Marathon Team who won the gold medal of women's 10,000-meter race at the 30th Summer Universiade, the film tells the story of a girl named Shunzi who lives in a mountainous region in Yunnan. Shunzi dreams of becoming a runner. Many obstacles stand in her way from bullying at school to financial troubles at home to resistance from her family but no matter what she is determined to be a top competitor. This film follows her journey to the top and the people that her support her along the way.
