Tarsilinha

The work of modernist Brazilian painter Tarsila do Amaral is the inspiration behind this imaginative adventure. Tarsilinha is the story of a somewhat fearful 8-year-old girl who sets off on a journey to save her mother’s memory. When a devious caterpillar from a whimsical world full of fantastic creatures snatches away precious things that her mother keeps in a memory box her mother’s memory is taken too! Tarsilinha realizes that she must recover the stolen keepsakes and special objects to bring her Mom back to being herself. Following the path of the caterpillar, Tarsilinha makes her way through a strange world. She’ll not only have to overcome her fears and face some fearsome enemies, but also make friends who can help her get back home safely with her mother’s keepsakes, and recover her mom’s memory. But Tarsilinha will have to hurry before time runs out! A fun adventure for the courageous at heart, and a colorful, lively dive into Brazilian folklore, music and art.
