Destiny

In an isolated Iranian village, 18-year-old Sahar has been the primary caretaker of her intellectually disabled father since she lost her beloved mother to cancer two years ago. While her aunt and uncle insist that she stay home after high school to continue caring for her father, the girl cannot ignore her burning desire to go to university. Torn between her duties and her own dream, Sahar must do all it takes to challenge the confinements forced upon women and girls in her society.
