What does it take to conduct an orchestra? Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland, is one of only three places in the world offering education in orchestra conducting. CONDUCTIVITY follows three young students - I-Han Fu from Taiwan, Emilia Hoving from Finland and James Kahane from France - as they rigorously train to lead a full symphonic orchestra over the course of three tumultuous years.

When stepping on the podium, they are put under an intense magnifying glass. Conductor training, in essence, is leadership training. Under the direction of Anna-Karin Grönroos, CONDUCTIVITY provides a unique bird's eye view into one of the most misunderstood careers in music.
