Todd Flaherty writes, directs, and stars in this elegant and hilarious indie darling about Judy, a New York-based drag queen, who must learn to go solo both in life and onstage when their BFF and performance partner reveals they are breaking up their act to move to Philadelphia. —M.G.

Chrissy and Judy, two queens on the New York drag scene, have what some might call a codependent relationship. Best friends and creative partners, Judy and Chrissy do everything together (including occasionally make out). But when Chrissy makes the abrupt decision to move out of the city, and in with his on-again-off-again boyfriend, Judy is left scrambling. Abandoned to run their two-woman show solo, and without much direction in his thirty-something life, Judy finds himself wandering through a series of growing pains that will eventually lead him back to Chrissy. Delightfully witty, spectacularly sincere, and slightly satirical, CHRISSY JUDY is the black and white indie dramedy you didn’t know you needed. —G.S.
