From the writer/director of 2015’s “Truman” comes five hilarious and witty stories about Barcelona yuppies in vulnerable and all-too-relatable romantic situations—love triangles, age-gap relationships, affairs, the works—in an anthology about the little things we keep to ourselves at our own peril. —M.G.

Perhaps what defines the intricacies of human relationships, more than words, are all that is left unsaid. A comedy of errors, secrets, and illicit affairs, STORIES NOT TO BE TOLD is an anthology of five tales, all exploring what is both expressed and hidden in a variety of intimate relationships. Whether it's not having the courage to tell your neighbor you’re in love with him, leaving your friends in the dark about what kind of audition you’re really going to, or keeping a difficult secret about your partner for two years—we all have some cards we keep close to our chest. In this piecemeal dramedy, the throughline highlights the delicacies of being in relation to one another and balancing our desires to be known with the need to keep certain experiences to ourselves. —G.S.
