The Pacific Ocean is as vast as it is unforgiving, but that wasn’t going to scare away Paralympian and world record-holder Angela Madsen from her dream of rowing from Los Angeles to Hawaii. But in the year-long leadup to and preparation for her solo outing, it became clear it would be her final row.

ROW OF LIFE follows Angela Madsen, renowned ocean rower, Marine Corps veteran, three-time Paralympian, and 14 Guinness World Records holder. In 2020, Madsen attempted to row solo and unassisted across the Pacific Ocean, 2,400 miles from Los Angeles to Hawaii. What unfolds is a harrowing story of her determination, resilience, and immense courage to pursue the unknown, and the unyielding support of Madsen’s wife, Deb, who—separated by a vast ocean—champions Madsen’s dream despite the cost.
