Maja has always dreamt of becoming an actress and has devoted her entire life to it, but she does not believe in herself or her abilities. She assumes that she will be one of the many drama school students who fail to land a job in their profession after graduation. Resigned, she plans to abandon the stage and start studying marketing and management. Everything changes when a new charismatic director arrives at the department to prepare the students for their graduation performance. Maja is given the lead role – Lady Macbeth – and, thanks to his support, she begins to regain her self-confidence and passion for acting. Over time, however, she realises that behind the director's charm and authority lies a dark side. With stunning performances at its core, Bojanowski’s debut feature is a psychologically complex, finely crafted film that keeps audiences on edge with its unexpected twists and turns.
