What happens when violence enters your life through a screen and follows you everywhere, yet society refuses to see it as violence? In Anatomy of Ordinary Crimes, Adina Sădeanu follows the real stories of four people whose lives have been turned upside down by cyber violence, sexual abuse, harassment and blackmail. Although their experiences are different, they share a disturbing pattern: private images become weapons, humiliation becomes public, and victims are left to navigate outdated laws, institutional indifference and the judgement of online strangers.

Through intimate testimonies in an unflinching investigation, the film reveals how easily digital abuse becomes normalised, and how devastating its consequences are. Moving beyond the screen, it reaches into homes, families and lives, asking where responsibility lies when a click can cause lasting trauma. Anatomy of Ordinary Crimes is a call to break the silence, reject victim-blaming and recognise online abuse for what it is: violence with human consequences.

The film had its premiere in the Romanian Competition at the Astra Film Festival in Sibiu, and CinEast is honoured to host its international premiere.
