How do we watch films and why does it matter? Emergent digital technologies have paved the way for new types of screening events and modes of audience interactions, moving traditional film viewing experiences beyond the boundaries of our living rooms, theaters, and film festivals. In this roundtable discussion, film exhibitors, distributors, festival organizers, and curators join M+ to examine some of the practical challenges of viewing films today. They will also explore the local and regional contexts for film screening in an era of evolving audiences and diffuse viewing experiences.
