Pioneers in Skirts is a multi-award-winning documentary about how today’s women & girls experience and combat stereotyping in their lives. When watching the film, young audiences connect with this problem on an individual level; experiencing what it is that can affect their ability to believe in themselves and awakening to the idea that they are in control of that mindset.

Pioneers in Skirts is a social impact film about the issues that affect a woman’s pioneering ambition. Real-life stories and frank commentary leave viewers seeing their role in the solution, feeling hopeful, and motivated to act.

When middle and high school students watch the film and participate in meaningful post-screening conversations, they see first-hand what happens when people are forced to deal with unfair perceptions and stereotypes, and how they can overcome what gets in their way.
