Rio de Janeiro, second half of the 1990s, “the era of privatization”. Pedro works for a large state-owned company, which will soon be privatized. Pressured by a cruel restructuring process, Pedro has to fire his team and anticipate his retirement, against his will. Retired and with a skin disease, he decides to separate from his family and move to Barbosa, his small hometown, in the distant countryside. There, he discovers that the jaguar that inhabited the forest around Barbosa, in his childhood, is more alive than ever.
