Director Biography - Andrés Mejia

Raised in Illinois, I've been an avid learner of film and video techniques since I held my first VHS camera. I am a self-taught student of film and I hope to continue my passion in professional settings, telling powerful stories in ways that many can connect with.

Director Statement

Our student-led team addresses the incredibly sensitive topic of school shootings to tell the story of our concerns as well as our innocence. We are simultaneously grieving, having conversations, and pushing for those in power to prioritize children’s lives over politics.
