Featured in our 2020 Columbia Film Festival. In the midst of a quarter-life crisis, Cal Piker drags his big sister Samantha along on a Bigfoot-hunting expedition. And nothing – not the adventure turning out to be a scam, not being abandoned in the woods to die, not a confrontation with an uncommonly large nuclear physicist, not a police pursuit, and certainly not Samantha’s protests – will stop Cal from making his way to Ape Canyon.
Director’s Bio: Joshua Land and Victor Fink are a directing and cinematography team who began working together while undergraduates at Johns Hopkins University. Joshua, who grew up in Baltimore, and Victor, who grew up in Boston, have worked on a large number of projects together, including the feature film “Lotus Eyes” (2013) and “I Like Me” (2019). Most recently, they completed the feature film, “I Like Me” which Joshua directed and Victor shot and has screened in festivals across the country, picked up various awards including “Festival Directors Choice for Best Feature Film” has been picked up by Gravitas Ventures and will be released in July through numerous VOD outlets. The duo also co-founded and co-own the production company MindInMotion, which provides full service production, editorial, color, and finishing for commercial and film projects. Joshua and Victor are passionate about telling stories about individuals trying to find their place within a society filled with uncertainty.
