Featured in our 2020 Columbia Film Festival. A short fiction film about a dual active duty married couple in the U.S. Marine Corps confronting infidelity. They are forced to face their dysfunctional intimacy issues while being trapped in the behaviors ingrained in them as Marines. Student, Short, Drama, Audience Advisory: Graphic Language and Adult Situations.
Director Commentary: I love the military life and I love my Marines. As a filmmaker, I want to continue to serve that community by bringing a version of their stories to life on the big screen. With the unique challenges they face physically and psychologically, it is imperative that through performance art we instigate a dialogue about the complex ways they deal with their personal lives.
Director Bio: Jessica Siletzky is an eclectic artist with many skill sets. She studied music performance and music education certifying as a K-12 music teacher and serving 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a flute/piccolo performer in Marine Band San Diego. She began pursuing visual storytelling in 2015 returning to school for a 2nd Bachelor’s Degree in Documentary Photography and Filmmaking. During her time in film school, she began to study acting and directing, taking on roles in student plays and musicals and studying stage combat at Columbia College Chicago. She is currently pursuing professional acting, directing, photography and film work in the Chicagoland area.
