Hit or Miss is a documentary film produced by Liam Gillin that falls deep into the topic of mass shootings in the United States and how this is particularly affecting college students. Liam Gillin travels around Marist College and the Hudson Valley to gather opinions from both sides of the gun argument, to reflecting on his own experiences witnessing shootings in the media to valuing the importance of striating the conversation to end gun violence.

Director Biography

Liam Gillin is an up-and-coming filmmaker from Long Island, New York. A recent media studies graduate of Marist College, Gillin produced his senior capstone project about the effect of mass shootings on college students in a documentary called “Hit or Miss.” This is just the beginning for Liam as he hopes to continue in the documentary realm, with hopes that he will become a cinematographer. Liam Gillin is grateful to be apart of the Columbia Film Festival and wishes the best for all the other submissions.
