Vintage-pop vocalist, songwriter & actor, Kat Edmonson has released five critically-acclaimed albums & regularly tours with her band throughout the U.S., Europe & Asia. Her unusually charming and seamless blend of old and new has garnered attention on “NPR Tiny Desk Concerts”, “Austin City Limits”, and “A Prairie Home Companion”. Edmonson has supported high-profile acts including Lyle Lovett, Chris Isaak, Gary Clark, Jr. & Willie Nelson. Her performance on “CBS This Morning” garnered the program’s highest rated viewership since '06. She appeared in Woody Allen’s Cafe Society as a 1930s jazz singer & is highlighted on the official soundtrack singing, "Mountain Greenery”.

With a lighter-than-air vocal approach as well as her gift for evocative songwriting, Edmonson is a rare artist who embodies the spirit of the past while remaining resolutely au courant. The New York Times describes her arrangements of classic songs as “fresh as a spring bouquet” while NPR says her original compositions “all exude a twinkly throwback charm. ”With the spritely appearance of Mary Martin, the candor of Debbie Reynolds, and the vulnerability of Judy Garland, Kat Edmonson performs jazzy covers plus originals, interweaving humorous anecdotes and philosophical musings drawn from past experiences, throughout her set. Her long-time band (piano, bass, guitar, and drums) accompanies Kat with a disarming sensitivity that allows her to veer off-script as she’s often inclined to do
