
A wild ride through the sewers of Baltimore - and six new puppet worlds - with the characters of the Baltimore Rock Opera Society. Produced during COVID isolation by over 100 volunteers, HOLES combines puppetry, stop-motion, and live action storytelling with a powerful rock opera soundtrack.

The Baltimore Rock Opera Society is a passionate community of artists who create unforgettable experiences through live original rock theater. BROS was founded in 2007 by a small group of friends sitting in a basement dreaming of an impossibly enormous story that would be told through the awesome power of rock. The company is now composed of a diverse group of wildly talented artists from around Baltimore who join forces to create massive original shows.
This highly energetic group of actors, writers, designers, builders, musicians, and crafters bring forth incredible and unique live performances unlike anything in the region. Every year thousands of fans flock to shows, concerts and festival appearances to witness the the city’s most collaborative, creative production troupe.
Director Statement
HOLES brings together distinct creative forces from within the company. Each director pursued unique intentions, from the eerie allegory of The Feast to the funk fulfillment of U R da 1. Though we were all separated due to the pandemic, each of these teams found a unique way to address safety concerns, put together a team, and connect with people in a new medium. Strap in, and get ready for a wild ride.
