Is it possible to spend your whole life in a single place? Twin brothers František and Ondrej have made the stubborn decision to do just that. Are they crazy eccentrics or charismatic, possessed storytellers? It’s not only their choice to live far away from the rest of society that is highly unusual. Everything in their ways, from their childish, bucolic enchantment to their honest, life-long relationship, challenges our learned adherence to society’s conformity.

Winner of the Crystal Globe – the main prize – at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival where it premiered this year, Better Go Mad in the Wild is an unclassifying film. Part documentary, part fairy tale. Director Miro Remo is boldly ambitious in its exploration of the level of truth and beauty humans can achieve, and in doing so is beautifully aligned with his astonishing protagonists.

The screening on Thursday 13 November will be presented with Closed Captions.
