The film follows Bertrand ‘Pin’ Joseph, an elderly villager, as he makes coffee in a traditional way. He demonstrates how he makes his coffee; the old fashion way and it is how ‘Real Coffee’ is made as the title simply implies. Step by step, the film shows the entire process of making coffee on one of the last remaining abandoned plantations. Subsequently, highlighting the forgotten ‘Creole’ language that once echoed throughout the island of Trinidad. A bit of nostalgia sets in as it reminds us of the old traditions that were once a large part of Caribbean lifestyle and our upbringing.
