Fortunata, Nomen omen, a name, a destiny.

In a small provincial town, the hours marked by the few amusements, which often,

too often turn into vices and sins that not even faith, the most

rooted, can eradicate. Wandering souls like in a Dantesque circle move

in this palace of horrors, where the rottenness is invisible, cleverly hidden

among the masks worn by the characters who inhabit it or who

stay there for a few hours.

The adolescent Fortunata, a lover of books and gifted with a marked sensitivity, lives with her mother, apparently loving and attentive to her needs, but in reality cynical and amoral.

Her mother prostitutes her daughter every day, among the silence of the neighborhood and the characters who are sometimes grotesque and other times normal people.

One day a parish priest arrives in the house of horrors, ready to save the girl, or at least that's what it seems.
