1981, the earliest days of the AIDS epidemic. A time of misinformation, fear, and misunderstanding in the face of a medical mystery. Fast forward to 2020 and COVID-19. What are the lessons learned from the AIDS crisis and how can we apply those insights to today? What is the nature (both human and scientific) of caregiving during a pandemic? This panel features a discussion with Dr. Kristen Ries and Maggie Snyder from the AIDS documentary, Quiet Heroes. Ryan Gibbs from Utah AIDS Foundation will join them and the event is hosted by Rob Moolman from Utah Pride Center.
