Writer, Director, Producer, Lyricist Mallorie Ortega comes home to present her feature film debut, the musical THE GIRL WHO LEFT HOME. Christine left behind the pressures of family and a close-knit Filipino community to fulfill her dream of singing and dancing on the stage. She finally lands that breakout role only to learn her father has passed away. Rushing home to Maryland, Christine finds the voice she once reserved for the stage can also be used to soothe the troubles she tried to leave behind: broken relationships and a family business now on the verge of bankruptcy. Starring Haven Everly (You, The L Word: Generation Q) as Christine, with Paolo Montalban (Wonderful World of Disney: Cinderella) as Uncle Tony and Emy Coligado (Malcolm in the Middle, Crossing Jordan) as Mary.
