Carpe Diem focuses on the relationship between a father (Mr. Femi) and his daughter (Yobosa). Mr. Femi walked out on his daughter 21 years ago Now he is dying of cancer and has chosen to reconcile with his daughter before he passes on. He pretends to be a customer planning his birthday and wants Yobosa, an event planner to plan his birthday. He flirts with her and somehow, he seems to be romantically interested in her, until she finds out; this is her estranged father. The fact that he is dying of cancer forces her hand to forgive him and she simply wants to take advantage of the little time left forming new memories of her father. His wish comes through; though in severe pain as he sees his daughter get married.
