Dream Touch Believe illuminates the inspiring story of blind, Indigenous sculptor Michael Naranjo – a man who succeeded in doing what he was told he couldn’t do.

As a boy growing up on the Santa Clara Pueblo Indigenous reservation, Michael Naranjo dreamt of becoming an artist – just like many of his ancestors. But Naranjo and his dreams nearly died in the war fields of Vietnam following a grenade blast. Drafted to the war at just 23 years old, an enemy explosion robbed Naranjo of his eyesight. But he didn’t lose sight of his integrity and ambition. He fought past critics and social stereotypes to harness the life of his dreams. Although Naranjo has no eyes and the use of just one hand, the sculptor creates bronzes coveted by collectors worldwide.

From within the walls of his studio, Naranjo weaves the tale of his life. He details his failures and triumphs and reveals his passion for chasing his dreams at all costs. Naranjo also details his fight for better accessibility to the arts. Viewers watch Naranjo evolve through the decades and follow him to some of the world’s most storied locations – from the Vatican to the Oval Office, to the top of a scaffolding where he embraces a monumental art icon. In an emotional climax, Naranjo admits he’s reaching the end of his trail and chases one last dream – a lifelong goal that lures him to the shrine of a treasure in Oklahoma City. Dream Touch Believe is a film that will inspire audiences of all ages.
