Connor’s confident in his choice on which bank to hit. Substandard security protocols, no guards. It’s perfect… Two weeks later, he storms into the bank in broad daylight, gun drawn and ready for a clean score, only to find it empty and under construction

His perfectly planned robbery collapses in seconds—leaving him alone in the middle of the bank, humiliated, broke, and on the verge of a breakdown. Enter Kass, a calm and unnervingly upbeat loan specialist who witnesses Connor’s failure as an opportunity. She extends him a lifeline: a high-interest personal loan disguised as a stack of money orders, which are just like cash but better.

Connor, seeing a way out of the predicament that sent him into the bank in the first place, sees the money orders as a pivot, an outside-the-box score. Kass, not to be outsmarted, fills Connor in on her secret—she’s already called the cops, and they just so happen to be outside. Trapped between arrest and desperation, Connor must decide whether to walk out a criminal—or walk out in debt. Flashing between the present standoff and the reckless drug deal that put Connor in danger in the first place, Daylight Robbery twists the classic bank heist into a darkly comic thriller about capitalism, control, and how the system always gets its money back.

In the end, Connor doesn’t rob the bank. The bank robs him.
