Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition (CCDC) is the premier organization in Colorado advocating for disability rights. Our mission is to advocate for social justice for people with all types of disabilities. We accomplish our mission and live out our motto by changing systems. We use various strategies such as leadership development, grassroots organizing, individual and systemic advocacy, litigation, education, and voter engagement to advance our mission. We work within all three branches of government to achieve our goals. We believe we have the most power if all disability groups work together for a common good. Our motto is “Nothing About Us Without Us.”

About I Am Denver

I Am Denver, a project from the Denver Office of Storytelling, recognizes the diverse spectrum of individuals who have made this city. In the same way that historic preservation efforts honor and protect buildings, we honor and protect Denver’s history, culture and vision by recording and archiving in video, audio and photo the faces and voices of Denver’s residents.

The panel discussion, “More '30 Years Later'; I Am Denver Panelists Talk Back,” is moderated by Civil Rights Attorney, Emily Harvey, and Access Gallery Executive Director, Damon McLeese. The panelists include disability rights advocate André van Hall; Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition Executive Director Julie Reiskin; Actor, Producer and Advocate Stewart Tucker Lundy; and Deaf Interpreter Chelsea Lee.
