Director Biography - Kizito Samuel Saviour

Kizito Samuel Saviour born as Kizito Samuel is a Ugandan filmmaker who majors in Producing, Writing and Directing, he possesses other skills like Photography, Cinematography, Film Editing and Acting among others, he is also a filmmaking mentor to a number of upcoming filmmakers and actors in Uganda.

He is a nominee in Nigeria at the African Movie Academy Awards 2017 (AMAAs) in the category of Best First Feature Film by a Director and in Uganda Viewers’ Choice Awards 2017 in the Category of Best Director for his directorial debut Bunjako which he also wrote.

This is followed by being a nominee as Golden Director at Ghana’s Golden Movie Award Africa 2018, Best Film Director at Uganda Viewers’ Choice Awards 2018, Best Director Indigenous at Zulu African Academy Awards (ZAFAA Global Awards) 2018 in the UK for his latest directorial feature film The Forbidden that has scooped over 6 international awards including Golden Impala for Best Feature Film Award at Amakula International Film Festival 2018 in Uganda, Golden Makeup Artiste Award at Golden Movie Awards Africa 2018 in Ghana, Hour Glass Award for Best Festival Themed Film at Real Time International Film Festival 2018 in Nigeria, Golden Dhow for Best East African Feature Film Award at Zanzibar International Film Festival 2018 in Zanzibar, Tanzania, Best Actress Award at Udada International Women’s Film Festival 2018 in Kenya and Elephant Award for Best National Feature Film at Gulu International Film Festival 2018 in Uganda among others, plus over 40 nominations and selections from Festivals and Awards competitions all over the world. It’s the first Ugandan feature film to ever make such progress in a period of 1 year since its premiere that happened in February 2018.
