Synopsis:
HOLY SILENCE tells the dramatic story of the Vatican's actions – and inactions – during World War II and the years leading up to it.
DJFF Film Review:
“One of the most professional and well-made documentaries I have seen. The interviews, the organization and the film clips were outstanding. The feeling of anger, disgust and sadness I felt was something I had not experienced for a long time. The quotes of Elie Wiesel at the end were powerful and the juxtaposition of Pius XII statements regarding saving art, culture and church properties with what was known to be happening to the Jews could not have been stronger. A sad despicable chapter for the church that should never be forgotten. This is a must see for young and old Jews and Catholics alike.”
