The story of the life and times of U.S. Congressman and civil rights activist John Lewis (1940-2020) including his years of social activism and work on civil rights, voting rights, gun control, health care reform, and immigration. The film includes interviews with Lewis, political leaders, and Congressional colleagues. Rare archival footage covers the years he was active in the civil rights movement as a founding member of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee and organizer with Martin Luther King Jr. of the 1963 March on Washington.
