Robert Fisk, the legendary and controversial British foreign correspondent reflects on his 40 years of reporting in the Middle East. As a journalist and author of six books, Fisk took an uncompromising view on warfare in the region and the devastation it had on the lives of ordinary people. His unfailing sympathy for the underdog and strong views on the impact of US foreign policy in the area provoked equally strong responses from critics who accused him of being too lenient on the region’s tyrannical dictators.
