Parental expectations. Self-delusion. Suppressed emotions. They’re all here in this provocatively edgy, light drama that follows a Jewish college student as she joins her parents at a shiva gathering. From across the room she sees her “sugar daddy,” an older man who is helping her pay law school tuition. Her well-intentioned parents, however, aren’t able to put two and two together.

Showing with the short feature Across the Line.
