In this compelling documentary, we journey back to the early days of statehood when hundreds of thousands of new immigrants were placed in transit camps where housing and services were minimal. The film unravels the many stories of the residents, examining and discovering many surprising new details and shattering common stereotypes in the current Israeli discourse.

Join us on Wednesday, April 21 at 4:00 PM, SFSU Professor Eran Kaplan takes us back to the late 1940s when waves of immigrants arrived in Israel during a time of great economic and societal challenges.
