In this Avi Nesher-directed film, Shachar (once a pop star with a sex, drugs and rock and roll lifestyle) is now an ultra-Orthodox man living in Jerusalem. He is engaged to Anat, also newly observant. But her mother, a sophisticated, secular woman, tries to break up the couple and keep her daughter from becoming enmeshed in what she sees as an outdated religious practice.
