Alessandro and Arturo have been together for over fifteen years. Despite the strong feelings they still have for each other, their relationship seems to have entered that dreaded middle-aged crisis stage as they both near the age of fifty. Into this already fraught and fragile situation bursts Alessandro’s best friend and former lover, Annamaria. She arrives unexpectedly and asks them to take care of her two kids for a few days, as she is being admitted to a hospital due to recurring headaches.
Suddenly Alessandro and Arturo have a lot more on their minds and on their agendas! With their lives already sliding in a state of flux, now this, and then what? Can they cope, just how long will this ‘parental period’ last, and what will be the fate of their dear friend, Annamaria? In the twists and turns of this new life, both Alessandro and Arturo are forced to look at things in a whole new light.
