Mais évidemment, il y a un hic : Anton, mordu de voyage, est sur le point de partir étudier au Japon pour découvrir une autre culture et souhaite entraîner le très casanier David dans ses aventures aux quatre coins de la planète, mais celui-ci craint que sa personnalité sédentaire ne cadre pas avec l’exubérance de son amoureux pour qui traverser une jungle n’est qu’une petite promenade de santé. L’esthétisme d’Edvardsson se conjugue à la perfection avec la profondeur d’Österhof et l’on ne peut être qu’ébloui·e par les paysages enneigés, les papiers-peints floraux couleur bonbon et les aventures improbables en Inde de notre duo partageant une complicité inégalable. With an irresistibly twee, of-the-moment aesthetic, Sofie Edvardsson, the Creative Director of the animation studio Soja, makes her film debut with Simon Österhof’s endearing, list-happy rom-com. This is the love story of David (Jonas Jonsson) and Anton (Eric Ernerstedt), two young men falling into bliss in the MSN Messenger era. There’s only one complication. Anton has a major case of wanderlust, moving to Japan to study and experience another culture before dragging David along on his globetrotting, while David is a homebody, worried that his cozy-fire-at-home personality will not jive forever with Anton’s hike-through-a-jungle exuberance.
