A professional hacker who has worked both legally and illegally gives his input in regard to the public's negative sentiment toward hackers, discussing their overlooked track record for valiant achievements in advancing the public good.

Director Statement

Nearly half a billion personal records were stolen in 2018 by hackers around the world. These roguish cybersecurity groups take down critical computer networks, hold others for ransom, and take the Internet by storm. But, the fact of the matter is that not all hackers are so unscrupulous -- in fact, most are not. This film was driven by a realization that our society (and particularly our film industry) tends to generalize and alienate these individuals from our own world, when in reality, the majority of them are as sophisticated as their critics. In a more general scope, the film speaks toward the idea of investigating others' ways of life before immediately dismissing them on a superficial bias.
