Drawing Workshop

with Illustrator Kris Di Giacomo

Ages 8 & up • In English • 22 minutes

Live from her studio in Paris, children’s book illustrator Kris Di Giacomo brings her colorful universe to TILT for the first time.

Over the course of the workshop, we’ll examine the world through the perspective of pigeons. We’ll compare and contrast those who live in New York with their cousins in Paris, reveal some of their secrets, and dabble in techniques of anthropomorphism (a fancy word for giving animals human characteristics).

You will need:

-Drawing tools (colored pencils, markers, crayons, or paints…): gray, black, orange/red

-A brown paper bag

-Scissors & glue stick

-A sheet of paper or cardstock

-Optional: an eraser
