This year will mark the 12th year of the national Science on Screen® grant initiative, a partnership between the Coolidge Corner Theatre and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation that seeks to expand film and scientific literacy. Science on Screen offers a fun, accessible, and thought-provoking window into the field, demystifying challenging topics and putting a human face behind them. Last year, 38 grants of up to $8,500 each were awarded to art house cinemas nationwide to create Science on Screen programs in their own communities. Join us for a discussion of program ideas and past success stories, and to learn more about the grant application process.
