Hal, a reclusive hermit, pays tribute to his mother's death by calling various "Questions and Comments" hot-line to capitalize on their 100% customer satisfaction guarantee until the country's biggest food and beverage conglomerate, KNACK, hits him with a lawsuit. Armed with nothing but free food samples and the less than mediocre legal aide of his eccentric next-door neighbor Amelia, Hal must lead the battle against the corporate giants to retain his peaceful solitary existence.

My name is Alexandra Alvarez, I am 22 years old, and I have been pursuing film for the last couple of years. I started in school theatre productions when I was 8, I I have gone on modeling and auditioning for film and television. I love acting and the creative freedom it brings, but directing had always intrigued me, so when I got this opportunity to direct for Matthew, I jumped! The same creative expression aspect that I loved about acting I still get to experience while directing, but I get to bring an entire vision to life instead of just one character. I get to see everything come together, and it is so thrilling. I also enjoy being a part of the casting process from the other side of the table. I love casting and working with other people around my age and experiencing us all growing together as we work. I also enjoy being able to bring other people and women of color more opportunities in this industry. As a young woman of mixed heritage (Italian on my mother's side and African American, Asian, and Puerto Rican on my father's side), it is beyond exciting to bring interesting and complex characters to life who happen to look like myself and my family. I didn't realize there was a lack of characters in film and television who looked like me until I suddenly started seeing "ethnically ambiguous" characters in every tv show and commercial. I am so excited that this is the new norm, and I am eager to keep the trend going.
