Trans and gender non-confirming people relate their experiences via art and conversation, providing a view from the inside looking out. Many identities face oppression, violence and harm; individuals telling stories like these brings visibility and awareness. “Other Voices” is a documentary short directed by London-based artist and filmmaker S. Brown, also known as Sweatmother. Using hybrid documentary filmmaking techniques, “Other Voices” provides its subjects with a safe place for unfiltered confession, and the superbly shot portrait vignettes showcase the talents that have allowed S. Brown’s work to be screened and celebrated at film festivals all around the world.
