The Queer Choir is an ensemble comprised of queer and trans singers based in the California Bay Area that intentionally reimagines the traditional choral model as a healing practice that emphasizes inclusivity and community building. They believe in the power of singing to help revitalize our bodies, improve their mental health, and provide relief from the constant demands of urban life. They want to create a safe, accessible and welcoming space where people can challenge themselves and engage in mutual skill sharing. They take the collaborative approach and encourage shared leadership.

As they continue to shelter in place, not knowing what the future holds for singing collectively in person, they have been creating a small virtual showcase of songs to guide them through this uncertain space and time.

This short film is the second song from their showcase, a cover of Andromeda by Weyes Blood, arranged for the Queer Choir by Kamerin.
