After the death of her husband, Dani (co-director Kelley Kali) does the best she can to provide a sense of normalcy for her young daughter Wes, even telling her they are just camping when they are, in fact, homeless. Over the course of a day, we witness a crucial moment in this newly single mom’s struggle, as she races around town on her roller-skates, working to make the down payment on a new apartment. Dani is forced to confront obstacles that test her priorities and her relationships in unexpected ways, all while keeping up appearances that she’s got it all figured out. Filming their first feature with a small crew during the pandemic, co-directors Kali and Angelique Molina bring us a heartfelt and refreshing story of the world’s most badass mom.
