Kate McCullough is an emerging Irish cinematographer with a prestigious documentary background and was recently listed in Screen Internationals ‘2020 Stars of Tomorrow’. Recent drama credits include NORMAL PEOPLE for Element Pictures with director Hettie MacDonald and Tom Sullivan’s debut feature ARRACHT winner of Best Irish Film at this year’s Dublin Film Festival and nominated for IFTA Best cinematography and will compete at Camerimage 2020. In 2018 Kate won a Golden Frog at Camerimage for I, DOLOURS, in 2017 and she was an Emmy nominee for THE FARTHEST and in 2010 won Best Cinematography at Sundance for HIS & HERS.
In this special event, Kate McCullough will talk about her illustrious career working in both film and television. Kate will describe her route into the film industry, and also share her experiences of working as a cinematographer in some of the best loved and most prestigious films to come out of Ireland in recent years.
