Ahinoam, an ultra-Orthodox wife, walks out on her husband with her daughters, only to have the police return the children to their father. Seeking refuge, she turns to her sister Sari, who left the fold years earlier and now lives in Tel Aviv with her husband, Israeli pilot Yonatan. Pregnant and facing her own crisis, Sari struggles with guilt over abandoning Ahinoam, while Yonatan wrestles with remorse over his philandering. Rejected, Ahinoam returns to the streets, where Nissim, a spiritual leader in a West Bank settlement, offers her shelter. When Sari and Yonatan reach out to make amends, they too move to the settlement, embracing a radically different lifestyle—sparking unexpected love and transformation.
