Former Israeli Olympic swimmer Michele Kuvin Kupfer confronts family trauma, personal challenges, and past regrets as she prepares to compete again for the first time in forty years. A member of the 1980 Israeli Olympic Swim Team and the 1981 Maccabiah Games, Michele experienced both personal and athletic coming-of-age in her youth. Now, amidst profound loss and life’s trials, she reunites with former teammates to compete in the 2022 Maccabiah Games. This documentary chronicles Michele’s journey from young athlete to masters swimmer, exploring resilience, friendship, and the Jewish sporting experience across the U.S. and Israel.
