Screened with MX: Struggle for Freedom in ADIFF Program “Pan-African Legacies: Malcolm X and Fanon”

This documentary traces the short but explosive life of Martinican psychiatrist and revolutionary thinker Frantz Fanon. Embittered by the racism he experienced serving in the French Army, Fanon moved to Algeria, where he became a dedicated spokesman for the anti-colonial liberation struggle.

The film utilizes archival footage and expert analysis to examine his groundbreaking works Black Skin, White Masks and The Wretched of the Earth, demonstrating how Fanon’s analysis of the psychopathology of colonialism profoundly influenced decolonization movements across Africa and the global Pan-African consciousness.
