This workshop is part of the new AoBFF Learning Center. It will provide guidance on getting started with the free open-source 3D application Blender. Easily accessible and incredibly powerful, Blender has been used for years by professionals in the worlds of 3D design, animation, and film visual effects. It presents a great starting point for anyone interested in exploring those skills. This workshop will focus on covering the fundamentals any student will need to get started as well as provide students with a list of reliable resources to continue exploring their interest in 3D.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Sean Mannion is a filmmaker and media educator with a focus on creating access to the tools and techniques of film storytelling. For more than a decade Sean has worked with nonprofit organizations and schools to develop curriculum and deliver workshops on film and video production skills for a variety of audiences including youth, the elderly, community media producers, business owners, corporate staff, active duty military, individuals with post traumatic stress, individuals with traumatic brain injuries, and underserved New York City communities. In addition to his work as an educator he has had his hands in almost every aspect of film and video production including videography, sound, editing, visual effects, animation, and emerging virtual production techniques. He is currently developing several new projects with his producing partner at 4MileCircus.
