This short film was created as the major research project for my master's in Environmental Education and Communication at Royal Roads University.

False Creek Friends Society (FCFS) is a volunteer-based organization working to establish a National Marine Park in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. This films was a part of a research project seeking to build a public narrative for FCFS by employing a storylistening practice that intertwines human and more-than-human communities. There are prevalent sentiments in Vancouver that False Creek is a lifeless and polluted area, highlighting FCFS's need for cohesive messaging and storytelling assets to counter such perceptions. The research's broader significance lies in its replicability for neglected areas of urban wildness, emphasizing the role of storytelling and storylistening in fostering connections with the more-than-human world.
